This holiday season, the competition was tough—but our 2nd Annual Holiday Decorating Contest was a big hit! Last month, we challenged each of our departments to wow us with their decorating skills and holiday spirit by transforming their office and lab spaces into a festive wonderland.
Claiming that the team succeeded would be an understatement. We saw a 3-way tie for second place, 2 departments impressing (and perhaps bribing?) voters with baked goods, and 1 winner that dazzled us all.
On judging day, our contestants were surprised by a visit from Mr. Claus himself and two of his cutest reindeers, representing the Sample Receiving Department! They clinched the well-deserved win with their “Santa’s Workshop & Stable” display.
The winning team received the coveted golden bell trophy to proudly display in the sample receiving lab—plus bragging rights and paid lunch from a restaurant of choice. Congratulations winners and thank you again to all who participated!
